Check you tempertures anywhere, anytime. Never have to worry what time or how long we fired up our smoker, it logs everything and keeps it your logs for historical references too. Very compact compared to other competitor models and easy to use. Grabs the network every time without issue. I am completely satisfied with this device and highly recommend it to any smoker whether novice or pro. You gotta have one. May 14, 2019 - 1:30 pmThis is the most reliable, accurate thermometer I’ve used in 15 plus years of smoking meats.

I am somewhat obsessive regarding dome temperature and done temperature and this tool has allowed me to step away from the pit knowing I can still trust everything is going well. I am a firefighter who cooks at the station, I have been in bbq competitions and smoke often at home.

In each venue this thermometer has proven it’s worth. The bluetooth and Wifi work flawlessly. My wife will even use it for cakes and casseroles in the oven as well.

I plan on giving this thermometer as a gift in the future to all of my bbq obsessed relatives an friends. January 21, 2019 - 1:30 pmI’ve purchased a number of remote thermometers over the years and purchased the Fireboard a few months ago. I regret not having made this decision a long time ago, overnight I credit the Fireboard for turning my BBQ prowess from amateur to professional. It’s amazing the difference it has made – because your can monitor real-time and get a variety of alerts no matter where you are, you have complete control over the outcome. By watching the trending it makes it easy to tune your temps to exactly what you want. The app is awesome and allows you to set hi/lows for each probe and your can make notes from each session to “remember” what you did last time.

The difference in the ribs, pork butts, brisket, turkey and rib roasts is unbelievable because you know exactly what’s going in different areas of your meat and you can identify hot spots in your grill/smoker. I’m getting the fan option soon and that will practically allow me to go on autopilot without ever needing to trim a top/bottom vent during a session. This made such a huge difference I bought one for a friend’s retirement and he has 3 ceramic smokers. This was worth every penny and the support from the company is nothing short of fanatical!

Great people who are happy to answer any questions and offer tips. A teriffic experience all around, should have done this much sooner as the results pay for the product and your satisfaction. September 1, 2018 - 6:32 pmHave had the Fireboard since Christmas along with the cable, fan and extra probes. I’ve had other wireless thermometers but none that could even touch this unit. Add in the fan and smoking has turned into a true joy. Haven’t ruined a piece of meat since.

It’s a little expensive but is well worth it and lacks nothing, at least that I would need. Love the ability to watch the cook through their website as well.I’ve recommended this to many and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants more control over their smoker/grill. August 7, 2018 - 12:58 pmBest accessory I’ve purchased for my smoker. I’ve used a couple of different wireless thermometers (maverick and thermpro) and they don’t even compare. The fireboard is worth every penny. Up to 6 probes of your choice. The software was easy to setup and use (Android phone).

I had a probe go bad and emailed their support. They promptly responded and quickly addressed the issue. I’ve been telling everyone that I know that has a smoker to buy this.Pros:– 6 ports for temp probes– Software easy to setup and connect to Wi-Fi– High and low temp warnings with multiple types of notifications (push, SMS, etc.).– Graphs and saves all cooking session.– Get temp reading from anywhere on your phone (or web).– Quality components.– Product support was fast and friendly.– USB rechargeable battery (plenty of juice for a long smoke)Cons:– A little pricey but you get what you pay for.– Should come with a water resistant case.– More add on controllers (other than the fan) would be nice. Ability to control Traeger like smokers (turn on/off hot rod, fan, auger).

July 25, 2018 - 10:40 pmWow! I’m still shocked that so excited over something as simple as a thermometer, but FireBoard lives up to all the expectations. I was able to have it up and running and connected to WiFi in about a minute, definitely easier and quicker than any of my other tech devices.

It’s a very solid build and feels like quality, more importantly it has functioned flawlessly since the first time it booted up and the app is well polished and easy to use. I got tired of all the other thermometer options for smoking on a pellet grill and this one with 6 channels, WiFi, and a great app is a game changer! July 8, 2018 - 8:05 amGot this as a Christmas gift and love it!

It eclipses my old Maverick in every possible way from ease of use to temperature ranges. And while the range on the Bluetooth connection was excellent the ability to throw this on WiFi is a game changer. I can monitor temps from any room in the house or even anywhere I have internet connection so a quick run to the store to get that forgotten item with full peace of mind is now possible. One of the best Christmas gifts ever! Definitely recommend. July 5, 2018 - 5:05 pmLoving my FireBoard!

It’s tough to imagine cooking without this now. So far, this product is bulletproof. If you have the dough, buy this now. The setup is simple and the app is very slick. It feels like something made in modern times by tech minded people.

I get the sense that the device will age well. I’m sure that improvements will show up in the app or web interface. Guys, if smoking is occasionally frustrating because you feel like you’re managing too many variables get the FireBoard. It has been frustration free and makes smoking fun.A couple of features on my wish list:– I’d like to be able to change the color of the probes in the app. For now, they are all orange to red w one green. I also wish FireBoard would sell colored silicone sleeves similar to those found on competitor’s probes.– I would LOVE if FireBoard would partner with a smoker company and directly integrate the tech.

This way the app would also know the status of the heating element or control a hard wired fan. Maybe FireBoard should make a smoker?? It’d be really nice to have all of the functionality without a rat’s nest of wires.– Could it be possible to measure humidity in the smoker? I’m not sure if a sensor could survive the cruddy environment. I’d love to get an alert when my water pan dries out.– Is the chart limited to 24 hours? My latest smoke was 27 hours and the chart was cut off after 24 and a new session was automatically created.– I wish I could download preset session schemes. For example, probes pre-labled and alerts set up for smoking 4 shoulders or 1 brisket.

Manual

This would be much faster than having to set everything up each time. Could this be a function in the app? May 1, 2018 - 8:43 pmI purchased the Fireboard Thermometer, Fireboard Drive for my WSM 22.5., also have BBQ Guru fan for the forced air. Did my first cook of a Pork Butt with this setup. I was truly impressed with Fireboards performace!

Temp was held @ 225 Deg +/- 3 deg for the entire cook of 10hrs 45min. When cook was over i added more charcoal to see how long this setup would hold temp, after 16hrs of holding at 225 Deg i terminated the test. Fireboard Rocks! I am very pleased with Fireboard. Setup was an ease, iOS app was very good.

When looking at data with PC, very nice. The ability to get real time data while not actually at the smoker is very handy, to be able to take control also.

January 18, 2018 - 7:50 amHi – just got the fireboard thermometer and used if for the first time last night. It works great with my green egg bbq and I especially like how it connects with Alexa. I was playing with my child last night while checking the progress of the grill on Alexa, which was great. Looking forward to using the grill more in the winter because of this feature. The thermometer is top design and quality. This unit frees up time, and gives you great temperature readings which lead to a perfectly cooked piece of meat (to bad my wife wasn’t here to see it.).I haven’t used the alarm feature per probe but looking forward to the min and max alert features. Also, you can save “that perfect bbq session” and recreate what you did with the time and temp which I really like.Lastly, I was little nervous about the price however, looking around at other options this is by far the best option with the most features. I also liked how it was made in America.

I am glad i splurged it is well worth it. Way to go Fireboard!!! December 29, 2017 - 10:46 amAwesome device! I just received my FireBoard as a Christmas present! Yes, I have an amazing wife! Device setup was a breeze, the app is well written and easy to use. The temperature probes are also well built.

Used it for the first time yesterday. I smoked a Standing Rib Roast and I loved monitoring the progress from the warmth of my house (it was 5 degrees outside in Michigan!) Tomorrow will be the real test as I’ll be smoking a whole brisket! This is replacing an older Maverick ET-732. For me, getting graphs of the temp profiles is very useful for planning future smokes. And the phone integration is much better that the Maverick.

Also, the temp probes seem to be more accurate and better built. Well done FireBoard team, thanks for building such a great device. I’ll definitely recommend to all my smoking friends!

November 14, 2017 - 10:39 amYes, the price tag takes a little to digest but when technology works and it works consistently, it’s a beautiful thing and it makes life simpler and it’s worth paying up for.I’ve used other Bluetooth and RF BBQ thermometers and have struggled with connectivity and/or range. I’ve done a couple of overnight cooks only to wake up to a thermometer that disconnected during the night and failed to alert me of a temperature drop in the smoker this has simply been a non-issue since I’ve started using the Fireboard given it’s dual WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. Peace of mind during overnight cooks is (nearly) priceless! Both the device and the app are simple (in a good way) and well-designed. I could not be more pleased with my purchase!

November 13, 2017 - 9:08 pmThe Good:The Fireboard works wonderfully and allows me to track temperatures in multiple meats simultaneously (e.g. 2 Cowboy Rib-eye and 2 pork shoulders simultaneously). The app is great with multiple setpoint and notification options. In short, this gives you confidence and piece of mind when you have hundreds of dollars of meat smoking outside. The Bad:This unit is susceptible to water damage and needs a water proofing case that was not offered when I purchased my unit. Unfortunately, I am being charged $50 to replace the board.

September 11, 2017 - 3:03 pmEasy Peeze. Was looking to update my maverick single probe HD-32. Heard about the tappecue watching BBQ videos on You-Tube. Went on amazon and started to read reviews on the tappecue and there were a lot of problems on the WIFI.

One gentleman said he gave up and was gonna buy a FireBoard.(never heard of it) After looking on the website i decided on the fireboard. It was a no brainer. The Quality and ease of use is exactly as advertised. Just did my first Brisket that thawed because of Hurricane Irma. The Blue tooth worked great as we were without power and it did have a range of approx.

Bentley Bx 11 Manual Meat

From my carport to the house. It was about halfway thru when the power and internet came back on and it hooked back to the internet right away no problem. All three probes read within 1/2 degree when i first got it and did the setup which is extremely easy. It is definitely worth the few dollars more for what you get. September 7, 2017 - 4:45 pmI’ve had this thermometer for six months and so far I love it. There are a lot of pros to this thermometer and if there were a con, it would be the price.

The main thing I like about it is the interface. It’s pretty intuitive and easy to fumble your way through the app. The customer service experiences I’ve had are excellent. They’re responsive and I especially like that they constantly update the app and add new features. So far I notice myself using the ambient probes he most. I like to track the heat in my egg and pellet grill and these let me know how far off the thermometers are on both of those.

I’ve used the meat probes in my grills and the oven and haven’t had any issues.I can overlook the price because of the quality of product that you get. Everything else out there is junk. This thing seems to be holding up. I haven’t purchased the waterproof case yet and I’m not sure I’ll need to. Right now I’ve just been sticking it in a plastic bag when it’s raining.I was a little wary about purchasing this without user reviews so that’s why I’m writing this. If you have any reservations, just know that FireBoard has lived up to my expectations.
