Hi All,I need to access our phone system to make some changes. We're using Siemens HiPath 3000 Manager E software to do this.

However whenever I try to connect via IP I get the error message: Attempt to connect timed out without. I have tried pinging the IP the phone system is on and everything is ok at that end.I have also tried connecting directly using a null modem serial cable but the system just sits on checking cards, I left this over night and there is no change.Any suggestions or help on this would be greatly appreciated.Thanks. Only way to get it to work again is indeed by resetting the whole system or by disabling and enabling the NIC via Manager T (on 1st connected UP0 Phone).You can also manage the system with a serial cable, but it seems that your baud-rate is not set correctly. You can change the baud-rate in the manager under 'Program options' - 'Hipath 3000 manager settings' - 'Teleservice'.
Most common used baud-rates are 9600 and 19200. So if your manager is set at 9600 it is most likely that the setting in you system is 19K2. If you change that accordingly it will go past 'Checking modules'.
